The Music from the Moon songwriting contest was designed to celebrate the incredible human achievement represented by the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. It was intended to create a body of art that would live on beyond the contest, give artists a platform to promote themselves and their art and frankly, place Huntsville, Alabama and its growing music scene in a National spotlight.
